My name is Adrian Shepherd but known as “Aido”.
I am the owner of Aido’s Boardroom on Sanford Rd Albany. I have been in the surfing industry for 25 years and my passion is designing and manufacturing surfboards for surfers of all abilities.
I pride myself on custom designing surfboards, making sure the client gets what they need to help them improve their surfing.
If you are in the early stages of your surfing this is very important, as my saying goes “If you are not catching waves you’re not having fun”.
I am constantly watching and critiquing surfer’s abilities and style to help me make the best product possible. This over the years has led me into the surf coaching.
I have been coaching for over 12 years, starting out running my own Learn to Surf School and now being the High Performance coach for Surfing Western Australia, in the Great Southern.
My job is to fine tune and nurture the best talent and make sure they get the best support and information available.
I am passionate about coaching and helping all surfers whether you a beginning or just wanting to improve your overall skills.
I use a Holistic Approach to improve a surfers’ skills and thinking to getting the best from themselves.
The main tool I use for all surfers is Video Analysis in a coaching session on the beach with instant feedback from the i-pad. This gives the surfer on the spot review and helps me correct technique and other areas that may need help. Every surfer can benefit from this tool whether it is to just catching more waves or just wanting to surf to your full potential, “I can help you too”.
Give me a call and we can custom make your new surfboard or tailor design Coaching Sessions for you or a group.
Your surfing future is in your hands and I can help you achieve your potential so don’t let bad habits stop you from reaching them. “SURF FOR LIFE”.
